We are happy to welcome our volunteers back into our schools. All volunteers should complete a volunteer application and be approved before they can begin volunteering.
If you have any questions about your approval status, please contact Chris Robison. If you’ve let your volunteer approval status lapse or you need to apply for the first time, please fill out the online application.
Governor Inslee’s COVID-19 emergency orders, including the vaccination requirements for K-12 volunteers, expired on Monday, October 31, 2022. Although vaccination is still the most effective strategy to protect children and adults from severe disease, including hospitalization and death due to COVID-19 illness, Lake Washington School District stopped requiring proof of vaccination for volunteers on November 1, 2022.
To protect the health and safety of all our employees, students and volunteers, if you are not feeling well, please follow the LWSD Too Sick for School guidelines.
Share your talents, gain experience and inspire a child
Volunteers play an important role supporting student learning in Lake Washington School District (LWSD). These volunteers are parents, relatives, community members and students who are committed to helping our students be successful. Volunteers enrich student learning opportunities in classrooms, in schools and on field trips.
