Event Description:
Commemorate September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance by volunteering with the City of Renton.
A federally recognized National Day of Service, this year marks the 22nd anniversary of ‘Patriot Day’ and is the culmination of an effort launched in 2002 by 9/11 family members and support groups. This day of doing good deeds is set aside to honor and remember victims and first responders of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Volunteers will be working in the natural area - removing weeds / pruning vegetation at Heritage Park.
Anyone under the age of 18 needs to have their parent/guardian sign the waiver form. Please print and bring with you or I will have forms on site for you to sign.
Volunteers must be 14 and older for this park restoration project.
