Event Description:
Commemorate September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance by volunteering with the City of Renton.
A federally recognized National Day of Service, of ‘Patriot Day’ and is the culmination of an effort launched in 2002 by 9/11 family members and support groups. This day of doing good deeds is set aside to honor and remember victims and first responders of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Volunteers will install storm drain markers and distribute educational materials while walking neighborhoods close to Sunset Neighborhood Park. Volunteers must be 14 or older.
Volunteers will be walking, crouching, carrying up to 10lbs, need manual dexterity and teamwork required to be able to mark the storm drains.
Anyone under the age of 18 needs to have their parent/guardian sign the waiver form. Please print and bring with you or I will have forms on site for you to sign.
