Cultural Arts Commission Vacancy
The City of Kirkland is seeking applicants for a vacant unexpired term ending 3/31/2025 on the Cultural Arts Commission. All appointments will be made by the City Council.
Applicant Qualifications:
- Individuals who reside, own a business or work within the City of Kirkland and have an interest in the arts and in the role of public art in the community.
About
The role of the Cultural Arts Commission is to advise the City Council on public art acquisitions and loans, review and recommend projects under the City's "one percent for the arts" program, and, after consultation with the City Manager, promote strategic planning and development for arts, culture and heritage in the community, including implementation of projects.
The membership of the Cultural Arts Commission is intended to reflect balance, taking into account such elements as the diversity of the community and connection to various geographic areas of the City.
The Cultural Arts Commission meets the third Wednesday of every month at 5:45 PM.

Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk, Kathi Anderson, via online submission through our application portal, or may be mailed to Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Kirkland WA 98033. Applications are due by 4 p.m., November 3, 2023.
