Bellevue Farmers Market’s Annual Saturday Holiday Markets are back on November 23rd & December 21st! Join us to support hosting this amazing and essential community event.
All volunteer shifts on this form take place at 1717 Bellevue Way NE at the BelPres Parking Lot. We are a rain or shine event!
***VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTIONS***
Set Up & Break-down Team (2-3 hour shift for Set Up; 1.5 minute shift for Break-down) - This job is physical, but not demanding -- teenagers to 80-year-olds have taken on the task with success. We can’t wait to workout with you! Come setup tents, tables, chairs, and our signs in the afternoon before the market, or come tear it all down for storage in the evening.
POP Club Team (2.5 hour shift) - Help host our POP Club. At our Saturday Markets, these will be focused on craft activities, so get ready to invite kids to participate and assist them in their designs! BFM supplies the craft supplies and directions.
Chalkboard Artist (60 minute shift) - Get creative and beautify Bellevue Farmers Market’s iconic chalkboard! The chalkboard is redesigned to include important market day information like what’s fresh that day, what musician is playing, and daily activities. Only requires neat handwriting and a willingness to draw!
Market Day Champion (2.25 hour shift) - Your job may include welcoming customers at our entrance and exit points, performing market customer counts every 30 minutes, guiding patrons through the market space, promoting special activities at the market, assisting with keeping our market site clean and stocked, and supporting other volunteers and staff as needed.
Photographer (1 hour shift) - Help us capture the sights and sounds of the market!
***ENHANCED OPPORTUNITY***
Info Booth Superstar (4.25 hour shift) - Help our food access customers get the market currencies they need to shop at BFM, hang signs helping shoppers understand what market currencies are accepted at each vendor, conduct checks as required by the Health Department, and support other volunteers and staff as needed. Due to training needed in this role, it is only open to volunteers that have worked at the Info Booth previously (either in this role or as a Market Day Champion).
